What
is NATPOW
NATPOW
is a non-profit national umbrella Trust for strengthening the contribution
of NGOs/CBOs in population welfare/reproductive health, mother & child
health care, community participation and development in social sector.
NATPOW was established with the status of an autonomous NGO Umbrella Organization
with the initial Government endowment of RS. 104 million by a Gazette
notification of 21st November 1994 under the Schedule Scheme for Administration
of the National Trust for Population Welfare.
The
Scope on NATPOW is to broaden the parameters of Population Welfare Program
from a single focus on service delivery to a more holistic and integrated
approach of population welfare and development, with emphasis on issues
of sustainability, institutional strengthening, technical assistance,
information, education and communication, community participation, and
to create an effective partnership between GOP, Donors, NGOs/CBOs and
private sector organizations in the implementation of National Population
Development Policy of Pakistan.
