NGO Project Approval Mechanism

i)The project proposals are received from NGOs by NATPOW in response to press advertisements released by NATPOW.

ii)The project proposals are sent to NATPOW Field Officers of the respective project area for field verification, as per prescribed guidelines, and their recommendations.

iii)The Project Appraisal Committee (PAC) then scrutinizes the project proposals and makes the recommendations for the Board.

iv)A summary report based on the recommendations of the PAC is prepared by the Chief Executive and submitted to the Board of Directors.

v)The final approval of the projects and decision regarding the amount of grants for the specific projects are made by the NATPOW Board of Directors in the regular meeting.

vi)The recipient NGOs have to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) or a contract with NATPOW.

vii)After signing of the Memorandum of Understanding/Contract, the first grant is released to the approved projects of the NGOs.

viii)Subsequent Quarterly Grant is disbursed to the NGOs on receipt of Progress Report and Financial Report along with supporting documents of the previous quarter.

ix)The grant recipient NGO projects are supervised and monitored by professionals of NATPOW on regular basis.
