Program Approach

NATPOW has been operating on participatory and democratic principles by involving Non-Governmental Organizations, Community Based Organizations and Private Sector that are catering to the social service needs of people. This approach is in consonance with the policy of international donors. Since thousands of NGOs are engaged in different aspects of social and economic development in the country, it is not possible for any international donor to reach such a large number of NGOs or even to choose those that can be reached strictly on an objective criterion. NATPOW is therefore functioning as an Umbrella NGO which procures funds from international donors and provides financial and technical assistance to NGOs to carry out their project activities in Pakistan.

NATPOW funded 264 active NGOs working in the four provinces including  AJK, Northern areas and Federal area in the field of population welfare, mother and child health and reproductive health care.
